At Florida Enrichment Academy we teach music to students in a revolutionary way. We call it our Academy of Rock. Students learn from professional musicians in an interactive environment combining weekly private lessons and coached group rehearsals with the ultimate goal of performing live in front of real crowds.

In addition to the weekly lessons for the band members on their individual instruments, we teach everything else a band needs to know, such as:

Whether you already have experience playing music or you have never played an instrument, you are at the right place. Our program takes students at all levels and makes them into amazing musicians.

Structure:
Weekly individual lessons are fun, engaging, challenging and designed to produce rapid results. Instruction is provided through a sequential program featuring the style of music – rock, blues, shred, metal, country, jazz, pop, praise – whatever the student likes. Computer music theory teaches the fundamentals of ear training, note reading and music history in an easy-to learn manner. Training on the individual instrument provides all the other skills necessary to play or sing well, both alone and in a group. Monthly Ninety-Minute Band Coaching Sessions with the entire band allows a seasoned professional musician to teach, from his own experience, the basics of playing together plus all the skills needed to start a band, keep it together and make it successful.

Instrumentalists will:

• Recognize and play expanded chords and scales in keys
• Distinguish intervals and play by ear
• Understand key signatures
• Recognize and write different styles of music
• Arrange and change music to suit performance needs

Vocalists will:

• Develop a repertoire of songs to perform
• Sing all types of music with confidence
• Breathe and sing correctly
• Distinguish intervals and sight-sing
• Recognize and sing scales in all major and minor keys
• Understand key signatures
• Recognize, write and sing different styles of music
• Arrange and change music to suit performance needs
